We are pleased to announce that the upgrade of our servers to the new ones has been completed and by Monday the DNS servers will have been updated. To see if your domain has been transferred to the new servers, from dos ping your domain and if you see ip 69.56.188.143 then it means that the renewal has been completed. We are pleased to announce that now anyone who wants a free domain name will be able to have one of the form username.freegr.net. We will no longer accept any other free domain names.
FreeGreece wanting to give more bills regarding the Free package, will reduce the bandwidth from 500 Mb to 200 Mb. This change will be made to accounts that do not use more than 100 Mb of bandwidth per month, which in fact is 90% of our users, the average consumption is around 60 Mb per month. This change will not affect the accounts since the 500 mb will be available to those who need it.
I would like to inform you that the company we work with for hosting our server has announced that it will proceed with a network upgrade, resulting in the shutdown of our server for approximately 1 hour. The time that the above upgrade will take place is between 2:00am and 4:00am (EST) on March 23, 2004.
After upgrading php nuke to its newest version, there was a problem for those users who want to install it because the 20 MB we offer in the free package is not enough to install everyone's favorite php nuke. Trying to solve this problem, we will increase the accounts of those users who want php nuke, to 25MB.
